I hope to attend sessions of the charrette. I intend to urge the task force to somehow incorporate the Wells Street truss bridge in its plans.
After viewing the Wells Street bridge and the other two truss bridges last week, I am convinced that we pay way too little attention to our historical structures. It always seems to be easier for the "powers that be" to tear them down.
